It's that time again... The stage for Friday's Circle of Lights® presented by the Contractors of Quality Connection and Electrical Workers of IBEW 481 will be assembled Tuesday, while the stage decor will go up Friday.
Last year, new stage décor, designed and created by Expo Design, was unveiled. The decor features a Santa's Workshop theme complete with toy soldiers and sailors, peppermint sticks, ornaments, elves in the workshop and an abundance of toys- from stick horses to blocks to trains. The stage centers around a countdown box. Each year, one lucky child is chosen from a statewide coloring contest to help "flip the switch."
The stage décor will complement the existing décor:
- 20 new lighted artificial trees in basins and four lighted wreaths on statues around Monument
- Six holiday reindeer
- 13 new larger-than-life toy sailors, 13 toy soldiers and 26 peppermint sticks around Monument
- 120 holiday banners on light poles throughout Downtown
- Lighted garland with red bows on stanchions around Monument grounds
