The Quality Connection is a labor-management partnership between Local Union 481 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the Central Indiana Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).

For customers in Central Indiana, this "Quality Connection" between professional electrical union contractors and skilled union electricians delivers:

  • more than 2,400 of the best-trained electricians who are capable of performing any electrical job, from a one-hour residential service call to a multi-million dollar high-tech industrial project. They get the job done right, on time and within budget.
  • 80 qualified electrical union contractors who have worked on well-known developments including Conseco Fieldhouse, Marriott Hotel Indianapolis, the AUL Building, the State Capitol, the Indiana Government Building, Bank One, Westin Hotel, Hyatt Hotel, National City Center, Circle Centre Mall, Victory Field, RCA Dome/Convention Center, IMAX Theatre and White River Gardens.
  • a labor-management team with more than a 50-year history of progressive labor relations and no strikes.
  • a commitment to a drug-free workforce, demonstrated by a mandatory substance abuse program. The program also includes an Employee Assistance Program.
  • a top-flight apprenticeship program (iejatc.org) in which electricians earn an associate degree through Ivy Tech Community College.
